Yellow lights

I have a lot of old photos of the Old Bridge and from time to time I edit one of them. Each time I’m quiet amazed how differently the resulting photo looks compared to the ones I edited only a few months ago. As the processing steps change and I learn new techniques, so the resulting images change.

HDR from three shots, taken with Canon 450D with Sigma 10-20mm lens, from a tripod

Big Bang

I would love to take new fireworks shots, but I had no real chance lately (usually heavy fog or canceled because of bad weather). So I went through my old photos and found another one :)

Beauty of the Moment

I love taking photos on the street. I always see such beautiful moments and compositions that I could take hundreds of photos. I just still don’t have enough courage, to just start taking photos of random people. But I’m getting more self-confident, more and more :)

I took this photo last weekend in Vienna. We were eating lunch and sitting in front of a restaurant, when this girl set down by the closed door, of a near by shop. I didn’t even had to stand away from the table :)

No HDR today. This is a single photo, edited a little in Lightroom and used Cross-processing in Color Effects.

Taken with Canon 7D with Sigma 18-55mm lens, handheld.

Usually I can choose if a photo should be color or B&W, but this time I like them so much that I’m adding them both :)

Another abandoned house

Another old abandoned house. The detail that HDR process can pull out from the wood is just great. I double tonemapped this image, so it gives it even more detail in the house.

Night Angel

Probably not a photo anybody expected on this page :). I always try new photo styles, so I move forward with my photo skills. So last week I bought a Speedlite 580EX II and started experimenting with it. I think this is quite a nice result after a week, but definitively it can get better :)

This photo was taken late at night in a park in the center of Bratislava. The park was lighten up by small light pillars. One was directly behind her, illuminating the bench, and a friend was holding the flash to the left.
