Where was this photo taken?
Every-time I post a photo, I also include a small map, which shows the location from where the photo was taken. So if you want to take a similar photo you can look at it. To view the map, you have to open the post with the photo you are interested in. To do this just click on the post name, or click on “read more” under the photo. The map will be shown under the photo. To view the map bigger, just click on the Google logo, and it will open the map in new window, centered on the photo spot.
The Scott Monument
I always thought that it was called the Scottish monument, just when I researched photo spots in Edinburgh I found out I was wrong. But it could be called the Scottish monument, as it really of of those things that you immediately notice when you are there :) I took this photo quite late in the evening, and as I was waiting for the shots to be taken a girl passed behind me and said “That will be a nice photo” and continued walking. And I have to agree with her :)
