Zoomable Panoramas

Panoramas give you such a unique view but they also loose a lot of what you see, when you just see them in a small resolution. And as my photos are a lot about details, anything above 30Mpix just can be nicely seen in a resolution destined for web. So for those photos, I include a zoomable version, were you can see much more of the photos. I have moved all of them onto one page, which you can find here or through the menu on the right.

I wanted to do a panorama from the Petrin tower for a longer time, but never got to it. The view is just stunning, as you can see the the whole city. But as always when I was there before, it was completely full of people, I was a little scared if I will be able to use a tripod. But here is where the ugly weather worked in my favor. As the day was quite ugly and only got better around sunrise, the tower was mostly empty and I could shoot as much as I wanted. It shakes a little and having the lens stable at 200mm was not so easy, but a lot of photos worked out. As this is also a big panorama, you can find a zoomable version under Panoramas or directly here. I suggest checking it out :)

Here you can zoom in into this huge photo and enjoy all the great details in it.

Use your mouse wheel to scroll and hold and drag the mouse to move around. You can also use the buttons under the image to zoom and move. For the best experience, I suggest switching to full screen view first. To do so, use the second button from the right.

Please note, this loads a lot of smaller images, so it can taken few seconds to fully load the files.

What do you take photos of, when you are in Prague, it’s 5:30 in the morning and it’s raining. Of the metro of course :) And due to the very early hour, I had no need to retouch any people from this photo, as they were none. I actually visited three different stations that morning, taking a similar styled photo in each one. So if you see more of them, don’t be surprised :)

This is a manual blend from 5 shots, taken in the Angel metro station (Andel) in Prague.
