I took this photo on Sunday, by the Relaxxx building in Petrzalka. It’s not that bad, but I do miss more balance in this photo. There were this crazy huge clouds on the right side, which of course disappeared right as I got some nice light.
I’m including a behind the scenes shot today, to show you how I used part of the Nodal Ninja 4, to get a nice panorama shot.
Btw.. isn’t it funny, that in this building is a fitness center on the top floors and a drive through KFC on the bottom :)
This is an out of bound message about a lens. I could borrow a Sigma 1,4/35 ART for a day from my friendly local dealer and it was a rather surprising experience: in this particular case the internet does not exaggerate, this lens is as good as its reviews are. It outresolves my 20 MP canon (except in corners) already at 1,4 it and is at least as good as my 24-70 at 4.0.
According to the dealer´s experience this is one of very few lenses capable to fully utilize the new 50MP canon. It could benchmark your SONY – if you local dealer is as friendly as mine;)
At the end I did not purchase this nice toy because I more often take pictures from people than from bridges and the size of the sigma mounted on a full-camera body makes the duo an aggressive-looking device. Consequently I ended with Canon 2.0/35 IS, which is a rather good (albeit not great) lens with an inconspicuous look.
Actually one can expect that. The newer lenses will just be better for the higher megapixel cameras. Also the new ART lenses seem to be getting really good reviews. Haven’t had the possibility to try out one yet.. but will have to take a look :)
