I quite quickly planed another shot trip for this week, this time to Hallstatt and Salzburg in Austria, and due to other work, I again ended up with no photos/posts ready for the blog. But instead of reposting some older photos, I will highlight some of the guides available on this blog, during the next few days.
So for today, a reminder that you can find two guides on how to combine HDR panormas here. There are two, as one shows how it’s done in Autopano Giga and the second one in PTGui. So here they are:
Hello Miroslav, do you prefer the results of ony of those two programs, or are they on par with each other? I only use AP and have read some praise about HDR stitching with PTGUI in varios internet sources, but you are the first source I am ready to trust in. I´d like to avoid simple testing of HDR&PTGUI, becuas this is not possible with the trial version, I´d have to pay first in order to test… Thank you in advance! Juraj
I like PTgui more. The results are similar, but I have been using it for longer time, and it’s a simpler. Also, I don’t use it to create the HDR, just the blend planes. I find the hdr tonemapping in both lacking, and prefer using Oloneo Photoengine or manual blend to that.
thank you, it saves me time researching what already has been researched. I am rather familiar with AP since its very first version so, because as you say the results are similar, I will stuck with it. And – my kid is loving it – just click click and you have a panorama!
