Gaming list

I shared with you a reading list so how about a gaming list today :) What games am I currently playing?

I play most games on the Xbox One or the PS4. I very rarely anymore play on the PC (that’s just for work :)), and I never play on mobile. Just don’t like it. Actually I almost always play for about 20-30 minutes, as little breaks between other stuff, mostly work. There used to be times when I could play for hours and hours in a row, but that’s long time ago :) And I never ever play multiplayer. I just don’t like when a game can’t be finished.

So recently, since I never had a PS3, I have been getting through all the remasters on the PS4. Beyond two Souls, Last of US and God of War III recently. I now started Gravity Rush and then still have the Shadow of the Colossus.

On the Xbox, I just finished the second South Park game, and I’m currently playing Catherine, Back to the Future The game and finally want to finish Rise Son of Rome.

I really like to finish all the games I play, and usually when I start one, I play it till it’s done :)

What are you playing this week?

The red lights of the Moulin Rouge

This one is a bit older photo. I took it in 2015 while in Paris. Right after I got back from there, I did tried to edit it, but I just did not like the result. But as time goes, one learns more editing, I tried it again last night. And I got a result I liked withing minutes.

It’s of course the Mouling Rouge, and while I tried to have less people in the shot, it was just too busy that evening. This is a two exposure blend, one for the base another one used to darken the few highlights. Edited in Lightroom finished in Photoshop.

No updates last week

I’m sorry I did not update the blog last week. I just had one of those busy, tired weeks. That’s when one has to finish a lot of stuff, and is also tired from other stuff. And to make things a bit harder on myself, I also did some lifestyle changes last week, as I started having some heath issues after the last trip, and it always takes a while to adapt. What can you do :) When one has to do something one has to. Should be back to normal soon.

Walk in the Business bay

For today’s photo, let’s go back to Dubai. This one is a very wide angle shot, taken with the 12mm lens. It was taken right in the middle of the quite new Business bay walkway. This is a perfect area for photos, as it’s not that busy in the evening and you can just take great cityscape shots. You can also experiment with including different foreground elements.

This is quite a typical composition for Dubai photos, as you can use those curved railing as a nice leading line into the photo, that just guides you view from the foreground into the background.

For this photo I used three exposures, combined in Oloneo Photoengine, than finished in Photoshop. Btw. I also used the NISI natural night filter here, and since I liked the more purplish color in this shot, I left it that way.

Top Spots

The top spots pages keep on being the most popular part of the blog. They now make around half of all visits to this blog. I’m very happy that so many of you find them useful :) Here are the links to all the ones you can find on the blog, hopefully there will be more soon.

Night in the city

I should get more photos of Bratislava. Somehow, with all the travel, I’m not in the mood to take photos when I’m home. It even crazier, that I never ever took a sunrise photo here. I should definitively do that one day soon.

This is a two shot panorama, combined in Lightroom, finished in Photoshop.

I’m back

And I’m back after the week spend in Astana in Kazakhstan. I made new friends, met with old ones, visited many spots and got rained on a lot :) I got also a lot of photos, but can’t share them with you yet. But will do so at a later date.

Evening in the Dubai Marina

For today, here is a photo of the Dubai Marina as seen from Palm Jumeirah. This view is just so cool. I have many photos of it, but I don’t mind having more. You can see some blurred ships in there, as they were creating a new island there, and working on it the whole night.

This is from one of my recommended spots in Dubai, and you can see the whole list here.

This is a blend of two exposures, created in Photoshop. I usually push the Dubai Marina photos more into blue/colder colors, but this time I though of just making it warmer. And I think it looks quite alright.
