Late night moon at lake Bled

I wonder what they use to light up the castle at the lake Bled. The light is just so crazy bright. I was at least 7 exposures underexposed and still, they were just white in my photo. Even in the finished one I was not able to blend them exactly how I wanted. Must be some crazy strong lights.

I was not sure if I will even edit this photos. It was just too dark with the bright lights and bright mooon. And I did not take a brighter exposure. Better said, I did, but with a bit differnt composition and a bit out of focus. So this one had to work out until I go back to Bled one day.

This is a blend of three exposures, but mostly for the lights on the castle and the church. I also had to clean up some lens flares created by the moonlight. Edited and blended in Photoshop.

And here is also a comparison to the original RAW file. As you can see, it was really dark. And this was the brightest exposure I had.

More from Lago di Braies

I really do not enjoy the warm weather we are having in Bratislava recently. It really makes it very uncomfortable to go out and take photos. I had to go yesterday for a bit, and that bright sun with zero clouds really does not make for great photos. But work is work :)

For today, I have for you another photo from Lago di Braies, as that was the most successful spot for me when in the Dolomites last month. This is a blend of three exposures, done in Photoshop. I used the 17 TSE lens here, and I shifted it down when I was taking this photo. This is because I was standing on the pier a bit higher from the boats and I wanted them more in the photo.

Little bison in Topolcianky

In the last update, I mentioned I’m back and I will be updating the blog again. And right after that, I left for three days :) That’s how things work out sometimes. Work comes first. I took many photos in those days, but not much I can share here. But here is one.

I visited for a bit the Topolcianky Bison park near Topolcianky in Slovakia. While I normally don’t get to take many photos of animals, it was a good opportunity to get some. Even if it was crazy hot and sunny. It was a bit hard to get a nice composition, as I was not able to get close to the barriers, but it worked out nicely for this photo.

Hard to see how big the bison are from this photo, but they can be up to 2.7m in length, 1.9m height and up to 500kg in weight. And the big one here was not that far from it.

This is a single exposure, taken handheld. Split into two exposures, that I edited separately in Camera RAW and then blended them back tohgether in Photoshop.
