I spend the evening in Vienna yesterday, and while the weather was quite bad, I spend a hour taking some quite long exposure photos. And here is one of them. I’m actually quite pleased how it came out, taking into account the strong wind, rainy weather and the late hour. I hope nobody will notice where I had to remove ugly flares from the water drops that landed on the lens :).
Hahah…I think you did an excellent job of removing the flare from the droplets. I actually scrutinised the image extra close after you mentioned it and I still could not find anything. The only thing that did look a but odd to me was the second street lamp from the left…that first bulb seems a bit under exposed to me. Great shot though. Just wanted to know if you kept that building in the background behind the bridge dark on purpose.
Thanks :) The lamp is a little strange. I don’t know why, but one of the lamps didn’t create the same look as all the others. Looks like they used a different glass on it or something. And about the building in the back. It’s hard to call it purpose, it just was so dark :) You can see detail in the full size version, but when I tried to brighten it, it just lost contrast and looked strange. Without any lights in it turned on, it looks almost completely black. If you look for photos of it on the web (it’s called the DC tower) you will see it’s dark even in daytime photos :)
Just Googled DC tower and I see what you mean. It’s a shame though since the building actually has a very cool design along the facade.
