Broken camera
The photo today, is probably one of the last photos I took with my current Canon 450D, at least for a while. Few hours after that, the camera stopped working. From what I have seen, it looks like the shutter mechanism broke, as there is a small metal part stuck across the sensor. So lets hope it can be repaired and the cost is not so high.
So now I currently have no camera and for the next few days (hopefully only days) I will only upload older photos, which I haven’t yet processed.
Beautiful Sunrise
I had to wake up at 4:45 so I can catch the sun, as it got up from behind the hills. Bu I think it was worth it. In the photo the Stary Haj area in central Slovakia.
I feel your pain. My Canon recently had an epic fail when the mirror detached. I couriered it to Canon and they fixed it at no charge (other than the shipping) and had it back in my hands in 7 days. Hopefully Canon in Europe is as quick as they are here in Canada doing repairs. Good luck with a speedy fix!
Thanks. They say it will take up to two weeks, and definitely not free as I have no more warranty. But as long it works again, I’m fine with it :)
They estimated 4 to 6 weeks for me and $250 because my camera is four years old and out of warranty too, but mine is a common issue with my camera and apparently they acknowledge it’s a manufacturing issue. You never know. Fingers crossed!
