Smooth blend
This is a simple photo, compared to my other photos. Actually this is not even a HDR. This is one of my experiments with manual blending in Photoshop. I blended here 2 photos, one for the sky, one for the scenery. It’s actually my goal in HDR, to move more towards manual blending, where I can achieve exactly what I want.
Number of exposures: 2; Camera Model: Canon EOS 7D; Lens: Sigma 10-20 mm F3.5;
Focal length: 10 mm; Aperture: 8.0; Middle exposure time: 1/15s; ISO: 100; Tripod used: yes
Where was this photo taken:

Interesting approach. Obviously I sometimes manually blend my images too (I’m not telling which ones though ;) ) but it’s not my target to go this way. I think that HDR apps are great addition to my workflow because I can work much more effective using them than by manually blending all my images.
BTW the effect here is very nice, painterly in a way (especially the hills because the clouds aren’t that interesting). So great job :)
I’m going for more control over my photos, so for me manual blending is the next step to get what I want :)
