Great sunset colors

Always when I’m uploading photos, that are similar to photos I already posted, I wonder if I should do it. But when I have a photo with such a great sky, it a shame not to post it :) And I noticed even photographers, who do nothing else, just travel and take photos, even those post similar photos from time to time (and when you post one photo a day, it’s really hard to visit so many place in a year :))

Sunset in Prague

Can you imagine having a beautiful sunset, great location which allows tripods, great view of Prague.. and then having a double glass window in front of you, which is very dirty, and lights behind you, which cannot be turned of and create a lot of reflections on the windows. It was so frustrating. At the end I lowered my camera, so its close to the ground and hang my shirt from a railing above it, so it blocks as much of the lights as possible. It helped, but still this shot could be so much better.

The beauty of light

Not my usual time of day to take photos, but when I first saw this church I knew I wanted a photo with the sun shining through the opening. Btw. I notice that a lot of churches are completely crooked. Almost nothing is build straight, walls go either way and similar. This one is no exception. Once you start using a bubble level on your camera you will notice that really quickly. You do a leveled shot and then you still have to correct the photos, as it looks bad :)

Locks, locks and more locks

Looks like the love locks are becoming more popular each year. I have seen them already in so many cities. And I quite like them, as they make a nice subject for photos. Only thing I hate, is when people attach them to historical statues and architecture. Like on the Charles bridge in Prague. That’s a really stupid idea in my opinion. It just damages a piece of history. This is of course not on the Charles bridge, but few streets away from it.

Karlovy vary reflection

I took this one in Karlovy vary, a beautiful spa town in Czech republic. A really nice town, but it looked a little dead to me. I don’t mean that there are no people, there were a lot of people there, but it looks like nobody really lives there. In two hours of walking around the city I haven’t seen a single grocery store, one ATM.. and similar.. just restaurants, souvenir shops and hotels… you feel really strange in a town like this.
