Another one from the Gellért Spa in Budapest. This time one taken more inside the spa. I could go even more further in, but then the visitors would probably start to complain :). But the bigger reason was that this is a thermal spa, so a lot of steam in the air, which is definitively not good for the camera gear.
It’s just stunning what people used to build. You sometime can’t believe what you are seeing. If you look through my photos, you will find a similar one of the ceiling in the St. Stephens Basilica in Budapest. It really interesting how just rotating your camera, can create such a different image. Event the guide, assigned to me in the basilica, had to look up when he saw this photo, because he didn’t understand how I could take a photo like this :)
You usually expect windows like this in a cathedral, but this is a thermal spa :) This is the entry hall in the Gellért Spa in Budapest. Another of those places where I went to take photos, but would mind also to be a guest one day and just relax a little. But probably the whole day I would just think about composition and what wonderful photos I could take there :)
The most beautiful place in the opera is always the main room with the stage. But the stairs are usually not that much behind. I had to return to the stairs more than once, as there already were tourist groups in the building, and I just want a photo without them. But on the third try I had luck :)
Btw. hope nobody minds that there are many interior shots in a row on the blog. As I’m currently on another trip, I had to schedule a weeks worth at once and I had these photos ready, so I had to use them. Regularly I like a little more diversity in the photos, but that’s not always possible.
Or better said, a wall full of chocolates :) This photo was taken inside the beautiful historic Gerbeaud Café in center of Budapest. All the chocolates and cakes looked so delicious there. Too bad that my program in Budapest was quite full, so I had only short time to spend here, and I wanted to take as many photos as possible. So no cake for me. But next time I’m there, there definitively be a cake visit :)
