Not many updates from me lately, but I will try to get better. I’m currently in Amsterdam, so that’s why also todays photo is from here. August will be a very busy month for me, since I’m traveling almost all the time (4 days at home overall :)). So while there wont be updates every day, there will be some. I think I will gat back to standard daily updates in late autumn, when I already have no regular work.

So as said, this is a shot from Amsterdam, the De L’Europe Amsterdam hotel. I tried this shot few times before, but only with the TSE lens I managed to do a vertorama, and so I got the whole hotel and it’s reflection into one shot.

I did a similar photo on a different spot in Amsterdam, but since I liked the composition so much, I thought I try it again, but this time as a vertorama. The reason for that is so I can get more of the foreground, to get even better feel of space in the shot.

This is a two shot vertorama, edited in Lightroom and Photoshop.

The 27th of April is the King’s day in the Netherlands, and since I was in Amsterdam, I took few photos here and there of the celebrations. I seen even busier photos from other years celebrations, but I’m not surprised, as the day before it rained constantly. So here are few random photos from the day, all taken handheld, with the 70-200mm lens.

Funny how when I edit on the Surface Pro 4, I tend to end up with sharper photos, which still are quite noisy. It’s a bit similar to looking at a photo on a mobile phone. The high resolution screen just hides some of the things, you see much clearer on a lover resolution one. The pixels are just so much smaller.

So here is another blue hour photo from Amsterdam. During my recent trip, the weather was horrible almost the whole time, except in the evenings, when it always cleared up. So I ended up with all blue hour shots this time :)

This is mostly a single exposure, I used a second one just to get rid of a passing ship.

And another photo from Amsterdam. This time it’s a floating asian restaurant right in the city center.

This is a single exposure, edited in Lightroom and Photoshop.
