Lovely sunset

You get such a lovely view of the sunset from the bridges over Danube. So I always like to return there and take more photos. In this one, taken from the Apollo Bridge, you can see (from left) the Old Bridge, Bratislava Castle and the Eurovea shopping center. I’m really happy with the reflections, and that the shaking of the bridge had no impact on the shots.

Pyramid at Night

I wanted to add a different photo today, but then I edited this one, and I liked it so much, I wanted to share it right away :). I took this photo with my 18-200mm lens, at something around 200mm. I had to hold the tripod the whole time, as there was such a strong wind, it almost fell over few times. I feared that the images will be too blurry to be usable, but as you can see, there were fine :).

In the shots, the Slovak radio inverted pyramid building and a part of the new town in Bratislava. Photo taken from the Slavin Memorial few minutes after sunset.

Passing bus

One from a little night shooting I did two weeks ago. I wanted to have some light trails in the shot, and I had luck :). A bus passed by, creating a very nice effect.

Long train running

I took a little walk through the cargo port in Bratislava last weekend and I took a lot of shots :). As is visible on the photo, this was taken right at the sunset, which gave such nice colors to the photo. You can see the Apollo bridge in the distance with one of the port cranes.

Btw. the title was inspired by the Doobie Brothers song :)

Burning Sunset

A little different view of the Bratislava Castle. I took this photo from the Apollo Bridge. I wasn’t really sure, if a longer exposure will work, as the bridge is shaking a little from the passing cars, but it had no visible effect.
