I already posted a photo of this tree a week ago, and here is another one. I really like all the curves the railing makes here. Makes for one interesting composition. And as tomorrow is Christmas, I think it fits :)
I sometimes wonder why they named the bridge Apollo. Not really a Slovak name. But at least like this I have no problem using it here and there is no need for a translation.
It’s been a long time that I updated the desktop wallpapers page on this blog. And now is the time for a new update. This time all the new wallpapers are Christmas themed :) You can find them all here (or you can use the ling in the right hand menu :) )
Central Christmas tree
Not central because it’s in the center of the city, but because the shopping center in which it is is called Central :) I noticed that I had no Christmas themed photo on my blog, so I went and took this one. I really like how it looks, as the tree is across three floors of this shopping center. It is actually the newest center in Bratislava, opened only 1 or 2 months ago (that’s why on the map you don’t see it :) ). I took this one only handheld and it’s also from a single raw. I really don’t like shooting handheld, but without a permit I know a tripod would have attracted the guards.
I was curious.. so I created an account on the new Myspace page. I think they have the best look from all the social networks, too bad they are so oriented towards musicians. I really like that the page makes full use of a big widescreen monitor, when scrolling through posts. You can find my profile under: https://new.myspace.com/miroslav.petrasko
Freezing above Hviezdoslav Square
A little different view of the Bratislava center. The Hviezdoslav square is the biggest one in Bratislava and usually filled with small stands selling different stuff. Currently it of course is the Christmas market (with a tree and a skating ring, which are not visible here, but I have more photos :) ). I really have to find some gloves in which I can control the camera. My fingers were freezing the whole time I was taking photos from here :)
