Every time I look outside the window in my flat I see the RETRO sign on the top of this building on the horizon. So I went an took a few photos of it :)

Friday evening clouds

This is one of my favorite compositions. I know it’s centered, but I like to have the focus on the symmetry of the reflection, and that works the best this way. I really don’t like, when you are able to see only a part of the reflection, if it’s possible to have it whole.

Photo taken at the Strkovecke jazero (Strkovec Lake) in Bratislava.

New and old

This photo is from the center of Bratislava. This is a part, which was demolished during socialism, to make way for the road and the bridge. It’s quite sad actually, as a lot of beautiful old houses and a synagogue was standing here.

New bridge Triangle

One more from Saturday. The sky was nice and clear and you could see into the distance without problems. I thought about how to compose a shot of the New bridge to make it more interesting. And then I noticed, that with the road it creates a very nice triangle. So I centered on it, and I think it quite works.

Slovak parliament after Sundown

Went to the Bratislava Castle yesterday to take a few photos, and as the Slovak parliament building is right next to it I took a few photos of it too. Looks like I wasn’t the only one with the idea, as everyone else who was there had a camera :) I took more shots for this one, as the lights were too bright in the -2 shot, so I took a second series from -3. I even created a -4 shot by underexposing it in lightroom, but it still wasn’t really enough.

HDR from six shots, taken with Canon 450D with Sigma 10-20mm lens, from a tripod.
