On the Main street

A photo from Kosice (eastern Slovakia) for today. I spend 5 years there, studying at a university. You would think I know it quite well, but in the 6 years I’m no longer there, so much has changed that I could easily get lost :)

I took this photo last summer when I was visiting friends there. The sky looks so lovely in this photo, with all those lovely white clouds, but it was just a deception. Not long after this, a really heavy storm came, so we had to hide in the orange building in the middle. But as it is a cake shop, I didn’t mind at all :)

HDR from three shots, taken with Canon 450D with Sigma 10-20mm lens, handheld.

Soft sunset

Another shot from the center of Bardejov. As you can see, there were absolutely no clouds that day :). It was a little bad luck, as the day before and the day after the clouds were absolutely amazing. But maybe next time :)

I left the colors here quite soft. I tried also a more saturated version of this photo, but it didn’t looked right to me anymore, so I left it as it is :)

Two in Red

These old cars are so beautiful. And you can see that their owners really take good care of them. They look better than new ones :)

Emerging

When I saw this cloud, it really reminded me of the movie Independence day :) I think it’s really similar to the clouds from which the ships emerged in that movie :)

Pattern reflection

After a week of rain, yesterday we finally had a nice evening in Bratislava, so I was able to take few photos. I went to the main bus station in Bratislava, to take few shots of the skyscrapers which stand next to it. I found this puddle of water on a walkway over the road, so I set my tripod really low, to capture as much of the reflection as possible.

Also something I noticed after I took the shot, that the city lights, together with the railings on booth sides of the walkway, created this great pattern :)
