Autumn colors reflection

By a coincidence, today’s photo is another long exposure. Even if it does not really look like it is. I took a photo at the Strbske Pleso lake in High Tatras, Slovakia. It was a bit windy day, so there were ripples in the water. To get around it, I used a 10 stop ND filter, to lengthen the exposure. This time I used the VFFOTO 10 stop circular filter, as when using the 70-200mm lens, it’s just easier to use one of these than a square filter. You can find my review of this filter here.

For this photo I used a single exposure, edited in Lightroom and Photoshop.

SNP bridge light beams

The restaurant at the top of the SNP bridge (or still refereed to as the New bridge) is called UFO. Quite the obvious name, as it looks a bit like a flying saucer. And during the White night event, with all the light beams coming from it, it looked like a UFO even more.

I ended up using 6 exposures here. Since there were people walking by I took two sets of 5 exposures, to have enough to be able to remove them from the final photo. I also did from -3 to +1 EV as the bridge was quite brighter in comparison to the surrounding area. I then combined 5 exposures into a HDR in Oloneo Photoengine and then blended that with the original exposures in Photoshop.

Light beams over Bratislava

One more, and last for now, photo from the White night event in Bratislava. This is the same lights, as in yesterday’s photo, but this time from probably my most favorite view from the city. I really like how it turned out with the lights being nice top frame of the photo.

This is a two shot panorama, each shot from 5 exposures. I again used PTgui to create the panorama blends and then Oloneo Photoengine to create the base photo. I then blended in the original shots back into it, in Photoshop.

Light beams from the SNP bridge

How about one more photo from yesterday’s White night event in Bratislava. This time it’s one of the light beams from the top of the SNP bridge in the city center. They moved quite a lot, but looks like I had quite the luck when I took the shot, that they were more stable.

For this photo I went with a two shot vertorama. For each shot I did 5 exposures, as the light on the bridge walkway are very bright. I first combined all exposures into blend planes in PTgui, then created a base HDR in Oloneo Photoengine, which I then blended with the base exposures in Photoshop. Just a few steps to create a photo :)

White night lights on the Old bridge

Today was again the White night event in Bratislava, where there are various light installations around the city. I usually go and take few photo, but I’m not such a fan of big crowds, so I only take some around the center.

So here is one I took at the new Old bridge, that is currently light up in various colors and it all also changes a bit. Looks quite nice actually :)
