Castle by the bridge

This is my favorite place from where to take photos of the Bratislava castle. And I have never seen anyone taking photos from there :)

Valley of Death

Or sometimes called Death Valley. I think that it’s quite a sad name for such a lovely place. But since it’s named like this because of all the soldiers that died there in WWII, so it’s quite fitting. If you look closer at the photo, you can see three tanks scattered around the scenery (there are few more in the surrounding area). These are a permanent exhibition in this area.

Blue sky over green fields

And we have Sunday again, so let’s have a nice relaxing photo today :)

Photo on Tumblr

Burning Sunset A little different view of the Bratislava Castle. I took this photo from the Apollo Bridge. I wasn't really sure, if a longer exposure will work, as the bridge is shaking a little from the passing cars, but it had no visible effect. Probably as everyone, I also check from time to time where my photos are on the internet. This photo was shared on Tumblr and reblogged by few hundred people :) And when I saw a comment

“That’s hogwarts right there.. “

I knew I had to share :)

It can be found on Tumblr here. Thank you to everyone who shared :)

Partial reflection

I really like when this happens. When you have a nice reflection on the water, but still see the rocks under it. This photo was taken in the middle of Bratislava, at the Kuchajda lake.

Soldier at Dukla

This photo is from the Dukla Pass war memorial in eastern Slovakia. It’s one of Red army soldiers who fell in World War II. I took this photo last summer. This was actually my second visit to this memorial (what is a big shame on me, since it’s like 40km from where I lived). First time I was there when I was about 6-7 year old. I remember the memorial being so big :)
