My Gear

I just check out my My Gear page and wow is it out of date. Another one to go on a list of stuff that one needs to be updates. And if you wonder what my most used combination it’s the Canon 5D mark IV with the Canon TS 17mm f4 lens. It’s like the perfect combination for architecture shots. Just not that great when it rains :)

Morning fog

I would love to have more fog shots, but usually am in the fog, not above it. For instance, in Bratislava there is a lot of fog in the spring or autumn, but there is no accessible spot to get over it. But it’s sometimes easier in the mountains.

Today’s photo is one of those, taken at the eastern side of High Tatras. Taken right before sunrise.

This is a three shots panorama, combined in Lighroom, edited in Photoshop.

And here are few details:

So many games

Have you seen the Xbox sale? So many games to play. I already picked up few, but now if they somehow managed so a day had more hours so I got more time to play :). Did you picked up something?

Cloudy skies over Strbske Pleso

I posted a similar panorama of this view months ago, but here is one more. This time I went a bit more darken with the editing, making the clouds much more prominent.

This is a three shot panorama, combined in Lightroom, edited in Photoshop. I used a 10 stop ND filter to get a long exposure here. The panorama is 42Mpix big. Would be bigger, but I like to leave quite a lot of overlap for merging.

Top Spots

The top spots pages keep on being the most popular part of the blog. They now make around half of all visits to this blog. I’m very happy that so many of you find them useful :) Here are the links to all the ones you can find on the blog, hopefully there will be more soon.

Night in the city

I should get more photos of Bratislava. Somehow, with all the travel, I’m not in the mood to take photos when I’m home. It even crazier, that I never ever took a sunrise photo here. I should definitively do that one day soon.

This is a two shot panorama, combined in Lightroom, finished in Photoshop.

Travel time

I’m off to another trip, so the will be probably no updates during the next week. And if you are curious where I’m off, its the beautiful city of Astana in Kazakhstan. Check out next week, when I will already have some photos from there :)

At the Old bridge

And since I’m a bit busy right now, here is just a quick photo of the new Old bridge in Bratislava.

This photo was taken with the 12mm Laowa lens, its from a single exposure, edited in Lightroom and Photoshop.

You will always get caught

I was just reading this article about this “photographer” from Singapore, and it’s just so funny (and also sad) that I thought I would share it with you.

How some people still don’t understand, that using other peoples photos is not worth it, I don’t know. With reverse image search it’ss just so easy to find thief’s. And it even looks like he has some Photoshop skills, why not use them and edit his own photos? Hard to understand….

Cold evening under the Old bridge

I had a bit busy day today, so will keep this short. This is a late winter shot, from a very cold evening, taken by the new old bridge. It’s quite wide, as I used the 12mm Laowa lens. It really looks great when standing next to a cool huge structure.

This is a blend of two exposures, one as a base, second one to get rid of the lens flares.
