Red Explosion

This week will be mostly about fireworks shots. For those interested, they are not really HDR. All are created from a single RAW file, in which I expanded the dynamic range in Lightroom and in Photoshop.
Red Explosion

First one in 2013

I was for one unpleasant surprise when I learned that they moved the fireworks to a different location (after years of them being on the same spot), and I learned this few minutes before midnight. Still I managed to get to a new spot quite quickly and take some photos. And I think few of them will be usable :) So happy new year to you all :)

Happy New year

And the last day of the year is here. Getting ready to take some fireworks shots at midnight (if the fog lifts that is :) ), if not, than I will have few fogy shots instead. This one is not a new photo, I took it last time I was shooting fireworks :) And of course Happy New year everyone :)

On the edge of the mountain

Snow and HDR does not really go well together. Snow should be white, HDR add more details. When you add more details to snow, you will get ugly grey snow. So I had to correct and correct it, until it was white again.

This photo was taken on the edge of the Skalnaté pleso (Rocky Mountain-Lake) in High Tatras. Really a beautiful place, and as there is a cable car going up here, it easy to visit :)

Lomnicky peak

One of my small trips during Christmas time was to the top of the Lomnicky peak in High Tatras. That’s the top of the mountain on the left of this photo. So there will be few photos taken from there in the next few days :) This is not a HDR, just a single RAW edited in Lightroom and then added noise reduction and sharpness in Photoshop.
