Girls love Napoleon

I love street photos, I’m just not very good at them. But I’m trying, and hopefully with a little practice, I hope I get better. So this week, the photos will be a little different :) Quite recently I got a new lens, the Canon 70-200 2.8 IS II and I spend some time with it. Hope you all like them (and don’t worry… there will again be a lot of HDR here :) )

So let’s start with a nice one from center of Bratislava. This Napoleon soldier statue is quite popular with tourists and locals to take photos with.

Sandy Jeep

This looks almost lie a render, doesn’t it? It was in the shadow, with a very flat light, so it just looks like a model. I was actually quite lucky to have (almost) no people in the shot. All around me was a crowd, but just for the moment, nobody was standing by this car. So it took this only handheld, and very quickly :)

Abandoned Stadium at sunset

For a such small city as Bratislava is, we sure have our share of abandoned stadiums. All of them should go under reconstruction, but you know how it is. Never enough money.

Skoda 430

Another beautiful old car in the Transport Museum in Bratislava. I went there again about a month ago, to take some photos. There is a big chance that it will be closed soon, as it is a part of the main train station in Bratislava, and there is a planed reconstruction for that. Will see if they do it or not. But just in case, I took a lot of photos there :)

Warm January

Not this year that is. This is from a year ago :). There was quite a strong wind when I took this photo, that’s why the top half is not a HDR. As you can see, the composition is split in the middle. Not maybe the best way to take a shot, but I was trying to show the contrast between the green moos and the leafless treed, and this is the way I did it :)
