How to remove lens flares

There is a new guide on the blog, this time dealing with lens flares. So if you want to know how I deal with them and how I remove them, head over to the guide page.

Westminster bridge in the morning

Sometimes I can feel so stupid. I finished editing this photo and by accident I clicked the close button and dismissed the save dialog without realizing what it was. So I dismissed all my work, and had to start from scratch. Good that I remembered at least partially what edits I did, so the repeating process was much faster :)

This is a very early morning view of the Westminster bridge in London. During my stay there earlier this year, my hotel was very close to it, so it was the ideal place to go to take some sunrise photos. But with the ugly weather, the sunrise photos were nothing to be proud off, so at least the blue hour shots were not bad. This is a HDR created in Oloneo Photoengine and the manually blended with the original exposures.

I so wish I had more time in London and of course better weather. But still I try to get as many photos from that trip as I can. But I also want to get back to London and get many more. But this time I will wait at least until late spring for revisit. I will never ever believe anyone who says that there is no snow in London, as it snowed the day I was there, and it was April :)

This is a HDR created in Oloneo, taken during a very cold and cloudy April day.
Cloudy sky and yellow lights

Sometime today I should be back home, so hopefully from tomorrow there will be some new photos from Slovenia here (I’m writing this few days before, as I don’t carry a pc with me when I travel). So until then, here is another photo from London.

This is a manual blend from 5 shots combined with HDR created in Oloneo Photoengine (I used parts of the buildings from the HDR)
Around the Shard

During my stay in Birmingham in April this year, I had quite a bad luck for weather, and had no nice sky. So I tried to get something interesting in the photo and as the area around Selfridges is quite a busy spot for bus traffic, that is what I tried to capture. At least partially it covers the sky.

This is a manual blend from 3 shots (I took 5, bad had no need for 2 of them)
Birmingham bus

Some photographers have luck for weather, some don’t. I’m probably from the group that has not much luck with weather :). It was same in London, so I so wish to revisit it soon. Maybe even this year, but more probably the next one. But I still have few photos to process from there, so here is another one of the Tower bridge.

This is a manual blend from 5 shots.
