HIGH-RESOLUTION WALLPAPERS

I haven’t even notice, while I was taking this panorama, that half of the image is completely dark, while the second is quite bright. It’s actually a little strange, that the street right next to the water is not lit at all. But since you can see from the amount of lights on the Charles bridge, they probably decided not to bother with it.

This is a two tile panorama, each tile from 3 exposures. Panorama combined using PTgui, HDR created in Oloneo Photoengine, finished in Photoshop.

Half lit

Technique: Oloneo Photoengine, Number of exposures: 3, Camera Model: Sony a7R + Metabones MkIII Adapter, Lens: Canon 24-70mm F2.8, Focal length: 64mm, Aperture: 9, Middle exposure time: 10s, ISO: 100, Tripod used: yes, Location: 50.084393, 14.413288

This is what I try to do when the sky is not interesting enough. I try to find something to frame the subject with. And here I used the trees on the opposing side of the Eiffel tower. I do think about composition a lot. It’s the most common reason why I discard photos. There can be noise, bad colors, not enough sharpness, but when the composition is right, one can get over that. But when the composition is wrong, you usually can do nothing.

I almost also discarded this one, as the tower was to centered in the shot. But since I had a little space for cropping here, I managed to move it a bit to the side, so it’s much more acceptable now. This is a HDR from 3 shots, created in Oloneo Photoengine, finished in Photoshop.

From a sunny day

Technique: Oloneo Photoengine, Number of exposures: 3, Camera Model: Sony a7R + Metabones MkIII Adapter, Lens: Canon 24-70mm F2.8, Focal length: 24mm, Aperture: 14, Middle exposure time: 1/20s, ISO: 100, Tripod used: yes, Location: 48.858838, 2.289584

Again it’s been a while since I added new wallpapers to the wallpapers page, but from today, you can find two new again there. And this time, the theme was Czech republic :)

This new are for those of you who have a 21:9 screen, and they are in 3440×1440 resolution :)
Late night at the Charles bridge
Morning glow

ClampYou probably already seen many photos from the Tour Montparnase in Paris. I even shared quite a lot of them. But you probably haven’t seen whats on the other side. If you ever there, you will also probably be more on the side of the Eiffel tower, as that site just looks more interesting. But today, here is the less popular side for you.

I’m including a little behind the scenes photo, so you see how I attached my camera here with a clamp (even that is from the more popular side :)).

This is a HDR from 3 exposures, created in Oloneo Photoengine, finished in Photoshop.

Less popular side

Technique: Oloneo Photoengine, Number of exposures: 3, Camera Model: Sony a7R + Metabones MkIII Adapter, Lens: Canon 24-70mm F2.8, Focal length: 65mm, Aperture: 7.1, Middle exposure time: 15s, ISO: 200, Tripod used: yes, Location: 48.842261, 2.321754

No clouds here again. My stay in Paris was quite strange like this. First few day, not a single cloud, the last few days, cloud covered. And of course the best thing is the middle, with scattered clouds where you can still see the sky. But what can you do.

This is a two tile panorama, each tile from three exposures.

Cloudless morning

Technique: Oloneo Photoengine, Number of exposures: 2×3, Camera Model: Sony a7R + Metabones MkIII Adapter, Lens: Canon 16-35mm F2.8, Focal length: 35mm, Aperture: 14, Middle exposure time: 3.2s, ISO: 100, Tripod used: yes, Location: 48.858876, 2.337803
