HIGH-RESOLUTION WALLPAPERS

Please excuse my inability to keep up with the blog recently. I just returned from a visit to Basel in Switzerland, which was more of a family visit than photography. But I did try to take some photos, but with the weather extremes (crazy hot or raining) and the city being full of people (concert on the river every night, cinema in front of the cathedral….) I managed only few.

Hopefully things will get back to regular again soon, but hard to say. A lot of things to do :)

For today, a blue hour shot from the center of Basel. It was raining most of the day, and that created quite the interesting clouds in the evening. This is a blend from 3 exposures, created in Photoshop.

Technique: manual blend, Number of exposures: 3, Camera Model: Sony a7R + Metabones Adapter ver. IV, Lens: Canon 16-35mm F2.8, Focal length: 17mm, Aperture: 10, Middle exposure time: 15s, ISO: 100, Tripod used: yes, Location: 47.560242, 7.589626

The tops spots page is continually the most visited place on the blog, with Prague being the number one by far. Looks like many people who like to take photos are searching for the best spots :)

There are also quite a few reviews on this blog, and in this one about Oloneo Photoengine, you can find out why I like to use it so often :)

There are many mistakes one can do while editing photos, and some of them are quite common for HDR photos. In the article 11 most common HDR mistakes you can see which I think are the most common.

One tends to forget many things when one goes out to take photos. And just for that, I put together a list of things that one tends to forget quite often (me too :)). Check out the “What not to forget” list here.
