As the Kuchajda lake is quite close to my flat it’s the first place I go when there is an interesting sunset. As there was one yesterday I went there. The lake was completely like a mirror, as there was absolutely no wind.
As the weather got better today, I went for about an hour to a close by cemetery to take few shots. As there is no Halloween in Slovakia (but the shops really try to bring it here), the tradition here is to put candles onto graves. So the cemeteries look really interesting after sundown. I took only few shots, as the exposure times were just too long. For this one for instance, the longest exposure was 127 seconds, and I was already down to F4 and ISO 320. So taking a single bracket series took me up to 5 minutes :)
The plan for today was to take some photos at a near by cemetery, as they are filled with candles now. But as it’s raining the whole day a rather stayed home. Feeling a little sick and don’t want to make it worse. So instead an older photo overlooking one of the parts of Bratislava. Looking at this view it looks so big, and it really isn’t that big, only 400 000 people. Quite small compared to other cities :)
From all the places I visited when I was last time in Budapest, this is the last one of which I haven’t uploaded any photos yet. The Széchenyi thermal bath looks great, but the combination of yellow lights with yellow buildings gives me a headache when I’m editing the final HDR. It’s just never exactly as I would like it :) Actually this is the forth edit of this photos. The first three I did in the last month I deleted afterwards. But I try not to give up on photos I like and go back to them after a while, and try again.
One of the worst things you can encounter while editing a photo is a slow computer. And my is slowly driving me crazy. It’s a great PC, I have it already for more than 5 year without any problems, but the Lighroom, Bridge and Photoshop combo is just too much for it recently. I’m already looking for a new one.. something really fast :)
About the photo. This one is taken early morning on the Charles Bridge, right at the time the sunrise started ( around 4:30 :) )
