Somewhere in Austria

I have no idea where I took this shot :). It was taken on the way from Bratislava, Slovakia to Cologne, Germany and we were taking a break at a Gas station, from which was this lovely view. It was a very cloudy day, and it actually started raining in the next few minutes :)

Hanavsky pavilion

This is one of my handheld HDR’s. It’s always a little bit of a hit or miss. A lot of them are really not usable, either not sharp enough or they can’t be aligned at all. Usually I don’t bother and just go to another photo. Just when I see that the photo is really promising I stick with it :). What I found, that a great way to do it, is to tonemapp just a single exposure, and then just mask in parts, which need to be fixed. Usually when you cannot align the whole image, its still possible to align a smaller part.

With this photo I had absolutely no problems :). The alignment worked perfectly, I just had to correct the moving people. This is the Hanavsky pavilion, which is situated on a hill above Prague. There is a great view of the city from here, and you can actually see it a little in the bottom right part of the photo.

After taking photos

This photo was taken after a beautiful sunset which I spend taking photos in the woods (which I already shared on this blog :)), and we were on the way back. This was the great car we used to get there :). As this was taken some time after the sunset, the sky was this light blue which almost looked like white in the photos. I was thinking of making it more blue, but then decided against it. I left the car, the darkest part of the photo.

In this shot I really played with the distortion, which is created with a wide angle lens. The Camera was maybe 1m from the car at F18 to still keep it sharp. It almost looks like the car is bend :)

Lamp

Another photo, taken inside the water mill in Jelka. The combination of wood and metal give it a really nice detailed look.

Inside the Cathedral of St. Peter And Paul in Brno

Another shot from a cathedral :). They always look so good in HDR. I edited this photo few times, as the white wall ten to be quite grey in HDR shots. But after few tries it came out just right.
