Looking at the sun

Sometimes you can’t stop looking at a sunset (and stop taking photos :)). This was one of those times :)

Main Square

Something from the center of Old town in Bratislava. This photo was taken about a week ago. It was such a nice warm evening, excellent time to go out. A lot of people had the same, so you can see few shadow, from the ones that passed in front of my camera, but I don’t really mind.

Johny

And another try for portrait photography :). I took this one quite a while ago, but never uploaded it anywhere, but here it is now. I did only a few corrections on this photo, again nothing big. Taken with Canon 450D with Sigma 18-50mm lens, with only natural light.

This is a friend of mine, Johny. Johny is a 3D artist and he did 3D graphics for a lot of games :). He is also an aspiring actor and he was in a few TV shows here in Slovakia :)

Shiny Bike

You can really see, if somebody takes care of a motorbike :). It was so shiny, that I had to tone down the blue color, because it completely reflected the sky :). It’s still a little blue, but I didn’t want to remove all color from it :)

Because the bike is just a part of the photo, here is cut-out, showing my favorite part, the beautiful reflection of the sky and the surrounding trees :) (just click on it to see it bigger )

St. Peter and Paul’s Cathedral before sunset

Few weeks ago I posted a photo named “St. Peter and Paul’s Cathedral after sunset”. And this is the same cathedral, taken few hours earlier (so technically before sunset :) ). I like the night shot better, but I think they work also very nicely as a pair. I also have a photo from the inside of this cathedral, but I was still not able to make a nice HDR from it. This is mostly because the inner walls are white, and HDR process turns them into ugly grey ones. But I usually return to older shot, when I learn something new in my processing, so will definitely try again :)

St. Peter and Paul's Cathedral before sunset

and of course the mentioned photo, the after sunset one :)

St. Peter and Paul's Cathedral after sunset I couldn't hope for a better sky after the sunset, the broken up clouds, with this gorgeous colors. I was so satisfied :). This is the St. Peter and Paul's Cathedral (Katedrála sv. Petra a Pavla) in Brno, Czech republic. At first I took photos only during the day, but I had bad luck. A small group of tourists always moved, so they interfere with my shot. And when I moved away to a new place, they followed me. It was so annoying. So I decided to go back to the cathedral later on, and i had luck :). I was the only one there. HDR from three shots, taken with Canon 450D with Sigma 10-20mm lens, from a tripod.

Facebook

Just a small reminder :). For the ones who use Facebook, and like to be informed about blog updates there, I have a Facebook fan page here :).

Motocross Bikes

How about a nice change of a subject :). I think that over the last year I uploaded only one photo of a bike, so that will change for better now. I took a lot of shots of these bikes and will upload more of them later on.
